It has a slightly different pattern which is (I think) what you are looking for:
try {
mutex.acquire();
try {
// do something
} finally {
mutex.release();
}
} catch(InterruptedException ie) {
// ...
}
In this usage, you’re only calling release()
after a successful acquire()
